My Bag of Tricks

Counseling

Psycho-spiritual Counseling is an integrative approach that draws on psychology and spiritual counseling. It focuses on the soul’s journey, while also addressing the very real needs that accompany the development and self-actualization of the ego. True well-being rest on harmonizing the individual, temporal self with the eternal Self and resolving inner conflict.

Counseling is a special type of mindfulness training, like meditation, with the ultimate purpose being to instill your life with a greater degree of happiness, well-being and balance. My approach is integrative and interactive. My aim is to help you connect more fully with your own inner resources and create new ways for dealing with your circumstances. Each session provides a crucial steppingstone in the process of gaining greater insight, clarity, and wisdom.

Depth Psychology

Depth methods are based on the work of Carl Jung and include work with the arts, imagination, symbols, myths, dreams, rituals, movement, meditation and beyond. It’s a great way to explore our inner depths, address imbalances, and gain insight and inspiration.

Expressive Arts Therapy

Expressive arts are particularly helpful when words do not begin to express the depth of an experience, idea, or emotion.  When people touch into areas of human experience for which words are inadequate or altogether unavailable, it is helpful to turn to some form of art, music, drama, or movement  to express these experiences. Not only children, but adults too, often don’t have the language skills to verbalize their problems. Expressive Arts tap into the right brain where the language of images, ideas, and creative problem-solving and self-expression exist.

Reiki (Hands-On Healing)

Reiki is a Japanese form of healing that involves the transfer of energy (chi or qi) from practitioner to patient in order to enhance the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Reiki has several basic effects: it brings about deep relaxation, clears energy blockages, detoxifies the system, provides new levels of energy and vitality, and raises the body’s vibrational frequency.

Reiki is beneficial in treating: Anxiety, stress, fatigue, chronic pain, headaches, insomnia, and depression. It is helpful in detoxifying the body, boosting the immune system, and increasing energy and vitality.

ThetaHealing®

ThetaHealing®  is a revolutionary technique developed by Vianna Stibal, that works with the theta brainwave to change patterns and beliefs in the body, mind (conscious and subconscious) and energetic and emotional centers, quickly, safely, and permanently.  Theta healers learn how to enter and hold the theta state through focus and attention. While holding this brainwave, the healer is able to perceive information that is normally blocked from our conscious mind and observe energetic vibrations which are typically not registered in the waking, or Beta, state. While our minds are in the Theta brainwave we can access parts of the brain not available to our conscious minds, and have access to profound abilities for learning and healing.

ThetaHealing® works with the idea of the neuro-plasticity of the brain, allowing us to literally rewire it with more beneficial ways of thinking, perceiving and being. As old information is released, new information is “downloaded”. Once a new truth is held and supported by the unconscious and conscious mind, it becomes a new core guiding belief.  Folks around the world are experiencing incredible healing results with this innovative modality.
